Oklahoma’s unique demographic composition presents distinct challenges as American Indian and Alaska Native students pursue degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). With over 39 federally recognized tribes in the state, there is a need for educational programs that are not only culturally relevant but also accessible to students in rural areas.
