Summary

This grant program is open to nonprofit organizations (with 501(c)(3) status) located in the United States. The Trust focuses primarily on organizations serving the northeastern and eastern-seaboard regions of the US. The main fields of interest include arts and culture, community/housing/social services, education, historic preservation, medical programs, and scientific research.

Applications are accepted in two cycles each year. The first cycle has a Letter of Intent (LOI) window from March 1 to May 31, and a full application deadline of June 30 (with awards distributed around mid-August). The second cycle has an LOI window from September 1 to November 30, and a full application deadline of December 31 (with awards distributed around mid-February).

Applicants must first register online, submit the LOI, and if invited, complete the full application. The process can take up to six months from registration to award.

The funds are intended for nonprofit-driven initiatives that align with the Trust’s mission areas. The Trust does not accept requests for programs located outside the U.S., nor does it support requests from organizations lacking tax-exempt status. It generally does not approve requests for legal aid programs, loans, moving expenses, surveys/research studies without other programming, public policy/advocacy groups, or grants directly to individuals.

If your nonprofit falls within the eligible geography and mission categories and you have a well-defined project, this could be a worthwhile application opportunity.

If you are located in Oklahoma and working in the area of Housing, this funding opportunity may be a good fit. For more relevant grant options that support your work and priorities, visit The Grant Portal and use the Search Grant tool to find opportunities.
